Terms & Conditions
Prices – are as advertised on the Wildlife Discovery Tours website.
Payment – in advance via the website.
Booking – book in advance by telephone or e-mail. Your name and contact details will be required so we (Wildlife Discovery Tours) can contact you in the event of any problems. Your details will never be passed to third parties and will only be used for the purposes of providing you with information and details about your booking.
Medical conditions – You should judge whether you are capable of undertaking the tour you are interested in using the information on the Wildlife Discovery Tours website and if you need additional advice by contacting Wildlife Discovery Tours.
You should take responsibility for your own wellbeing and as part of this please make Wildlife Discovery Tours aware of any medical conditions that you may have that you feel may be relevant to the tour that you are intending to book on before/at the time of your booking. Your details will only be used for the purposes of providing you with a safe and efficient tour experience.
What is included – details of the walks and what each includes are advertised on the Wildlife Discovery Tours website. At the time of booking you will be advised should there be any changes to the advertised details. Bespoke tours allow you to design your own content.
What is not included – Wildlife Discovery Tours do not provide items of a personal nature, travel insurance, drinks, food, entrance fees or parking fees. See ‘What you will need.’
Dates and Timings – Dates and times are as advertised on the Wildlife Discovery Tours website. Timings are indicative, though we cannot guarantee them, as circumstances outside of our control may necessitate alterations. Changes prior to the walk will be communicated to clients booked on the walk before it starts.
Cancellations – If the client has to cancel they should inform Wildlife Discovery Tours as soon as possible, cancellations within 5 days of the tour booked will not be refunded cancellations outside of this 5 day window will be refunded in full. If Wildlife Discovery Tours has to cancel we will contact the clients as soon as possible and all monies will be returned but see below.
Limitations on liability – Wildlife Discovery Tours will not be held responsible if any of the following occur whilst on the walks:-
- Injuries or any loss of earnings caused by those injuries.
- Illness or any loss of earnings caused by that illness.
- Cancellation caused by adverse weather on the day of the tour.
Wildlife Discovery Tours reserves the right to refuse attendance on a tour if the guide feels that the client is not sufficiently prepared for the conditions – if in doubt please ask before the day of your tour.
Should the behavior of a client significantly impact on the safety of other clients, members of the public, wildlife and habitats or impact on the enjoyment of the remainder of the group Wildlife Discovery Tours reserve the right for their guide to insist that the client leaves the tour. In these circumstances no refund will be made.
YOU SHOULD SATISFY YOURSELF THAT YOU HAVE ADEQUATE INSURANCE.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED.
By their very nature the guided visits involve walking and in this country you can often have four seasons in one day so consequently you will need to be prepared.
The following list is not exhaustive and should be used as a guide only;
- Footwear appropriate to the terrain and season – boots, sturdy footwear etc.
- Hat and gloves.
- Sun cream.
- Insect repellant.
- Snacks and drinks.
- Any personal medication.
Specific guidance on what you may need can be provided at the time of booking including lunch options and any parking or other fees.
Guided visits/tours are designed for you to see and experience landscapes and wildlife rather than covering large distances. All clients need to take reasonable responsibility for their own safety and those around them.
Exclusions – Guided visits/tours are not suitable for dogs. Please do not bring dogs with the intention of leaving them in your car especially in summer.
We operate a no smoking policy for the comfort of all staff and clients. Smoking should be confined to areas away from the group outside of the tour times i.e before the tour starts, during the lunch break (if this is appropriate) and at the end of the tour.
